Monica Nelida Kemper (nee Barker) was born in Buffalo, NY at Children’s Hospital on November 25th, 1973 to Kathryn and Michael Barker. She was raised in Buffalo, NY for most of all of her life (for a short time as a child she and her parents lived in Lackawanna, NY). She is the oldest of six children. She is blessed with four (adult) children, and two grandchildren and one on the way. Monica Nelida was married twice and is currently divorced.
Monica Nelida attended school at Waterfront Elementary School. She then attended Hutchinson Technical Central High School for two years and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1991. She earned her bachelors degree in Communication Studies at Buffalo State University (formerly College) in 2015.
Monica Nelida worked for several employers to include the Buffalo Mayor’s Summer Youth Program, Custard Corner, Liken Temporary Services, and Aspire of WNY (formerly United Cerebral Palsy of WNY). She is presently a civil servant and works for the Buffalo Board of Education (aka Buffalo Public Schools).
Monica Nelida is a born-again Christian and woman of faith. She has turned her life over to Christ and now walks in the confidence of God. She is a prayer warrior and intercessor.
