One habit that has improved my life the most is listening to the internal prompts of the Holy Spirit. I have gotten better at tackling priorities by listening to my inner voice or the promptings of the Holy Spirit. For example, the thought to do something used to rise and I’d put it off till later or indefinately. It just would’nt get done. I’ve began to pay attention to God’s voice that lets me know what needs to be done instead of ignoring it. It has helped me to be more productive and feel more accomplished. It makes me feel like I am in tune with the Holy Spirit and what God wants for me. For example, I’ll get a reminder to do the dishes; instead of leaving them, I get up and do the dishes. The habit of listening to the prompts of the Holy Spirit has improved my life significantly.
Also, I’ve begun to practice doing things afraid. Things that I know I need to say or do and hold back or don’t say, I will say or do the thing I am afraid to do. I am given courage to do by God. I feel like I did the right thing after doing so and it helps build my confidence. There is nothing to fear and I am to fear no man as the Word of God says. He will walk me through everything. He gives me His guidance and instruction and it is up to me to listen and follow through. It is in following through on the prompts that I feel like I am in alignment with God’s plan and purpose for my life. How can I pray for guidance and instruction from God and when I get it, ignore it or put it off? I’ve learned to take heed and have made a habit of doing so.
